Privacy Policy
Effective: January 1, 2025 · Last updated: January 1, 2025
Plain-language version: Your bill is deleted after analysis. We keep only anonymized benchmark data (provider, service type, monthly cost) to improve accuracy over time. We store your contact details only if you give them to us. We never sell your data.
1. What we collect
Your telecom bill (PDF)
When you upload a bill, it is transmitted to our servers over TLS 1.3 encryption, processed by our AI in memory, and then permanently deleted. The PDF is never written to persistent storage. This happens within seconds of your report being generated.
Anonymized benchmark data
After your bill is analyzed, we extract and retain a small set of anonymized data points to improve our benchmarking accuracy over time. Specifically: provider name, service category (e.g., broadband, DIA), connection speed or tier, monthly cost, and general region. We do not retain your company name, account numbers, billing address, or any other personally identifying information from the bill. This data is used only to calibrate our market rate comparisons.
Contact information
If you choose to unlock your full report or request a specialist, we ask for your name, email address, and optionally your company name. This information is stored only to send you your report and, if you request it, to connect you with a specialist. We do not contact you unless you explicitly ask us to.
Usage data
Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals. Retained for up to 90 days for security and performance monitoring.
2. How we use it
- To generate and deliver your telecom bill analysis
- To send you your report summary if you request it
- To improve our benchmarking accuracy using anonymized market data (provider, service type, cost, region — no personal information)
- To connect you with a specialist if you request one
- To respond to support inquiries
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. What we keep and for how long
Bill PDFs
Deleted immediately after analysis. Retention time is under 120 seconds in all cases.
Anonymized benchmark data
Provider name, service type, connection speed, monthly cost, and region. Retained indefinitely to improve analysis accuracy. Contains no personally identifiable information.
Contact information
Name and email retained until you request deletion, or for a maximum of 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:
- Anthropic (our AI provider): Bill text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate analysis. Anthropic does not retain your data after processing per their API terms.
- Airtable (our CRM): If you submit contact information, your name and email are stored to manage follow-up.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights, we may disclose information to authorities.
We have no data-sharing relationship with any telecom carrier or ISP.
5. Security
All data is transmitted using TLS 1.3 encryption. We do not store your bill PDF on disk or in any persistent storage system. Access to our systems is restricted to authorized personnel. We undergo periodic security reviews and follow industry best practices for data handling.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
